Entièrement réalisé en aluminium et extrêmement stable, le trépied 475B comporte un système exclusif d’écartement des jambes constitué d’une bague de réglage sur la colonne centrale et de 3 entretoises crantées, un système de verrouillage des jambes à levier, une colonne centrale à trois faces antipatinage, un niveau à bulle et des embouts de pieds à pointes rétractables caoutchouc/métal. L’innovant système d’ajustement des entretoises peut être réglé de manière symétrique ou asymétrique. Cela permet d’obtenir deux résultats: un positionnement rapide en verrouillant les boutons de réglage des entretoises de manière à ce que toutes les jambes soient écartées selon le même angle et s’ouvrent instantanément ou bien un réglage individuel de l’angle de chaque jambe pour une fl exibilité maximale du trépied. Pour faciliter la mise à niveau du trépied, les entretoises télescopiques sont pourvues de deux positions d’arrêt avec déclic, qui permettent de retrouver facilement le même angle d’écartement pour les trois jambes. Le système de verrouillage des jambes a été lui aussi optimisé.

Manfrotto uses several different types of anti-rotation system - on Magfiber and Digi series tripods, the elliptical or three-faceted shape of the concentric tubes means they cannot rotate, while on round-tubed tripods small protrusions down the length of the tube keep sections perfectly aligned

built-in mid-level spreader adds anti-torsional rigidity and stops the tripod legs from accidentally being knocked wider apart. Compared to a ground-level spreader or dolly, the mid-level spreader has the advantage that it stays well out of the mud and dirt and is more suitable for use on uneven terrain.
